Colin Kazim-Richards could be in line for a return to the starting eleven against Burnley on Sunday.
The Turkish international made an impact as a substitute against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday night, grabbing an assist with the cross for Jordan Rhodes' goal.
His cameo display impressed boss Henning Berg which could mean a place in the starting line-up in the lunchtime kick-off at Turf Moor.
Speaking on Radio Rovers, Berg said: "That was the best I've seen him since I've been here.
"He's been a little bit unlucky with injuries and maybe hadn't been 100% but this is how we want Kaz to be all the time, every time.
"If he can be that then that will be good for him and it will be good for us."
Morten Gamst Pedersen and Jason Lowe could also have played themselves into contention, but one man who won't be involved is Nuno Gomes. The former Portuguese international has picked up a hamstring strain in training. The game comes too soon for Fabio Nunes to be involved but David Dunn could make the bench after a calf injury.
Rovers have sold out their ticket allocation for this game, whilst the beam-back at Ewood Park has also sold out.
