Competition for places

16 November 2012

Rovers boss has a strong squad to select from for Saturday's match against Peterborough.

Henning Berg doesn't believe that any of the players who have been away on international duty have picked up any knocks whilst away.

Wednesday night saw Rovers have a host of players away, but the Rovers boss expects them to be back and available for selection on Saturday.

"If you look at the games you will think everybody will be alright," said Berg.

"Martin Olsson beating England, I'm sure he will be happy, Jordan Rhodes and Grant Hanley winning, Jordan scoring two goals. And of course Simon Vukcevic also got a win even though San Marino, it is still a win.

"So I'm sure everybody will be happy to get back and hopefully everybody will be fit, we think so.

"All those who went away should be available on Saturday."

The Rovers squad should be boosted by the return of Gael Givet and Colin Kazim-Richards.

Defender Givet has missed the last three games with a calf strain, whilst Kazim-Richards had a muscle strain.

Both trained earlier in the week and provided there are no further set-backs they will be back to bolster a squad that now just has David Dunn and Leon Best in the treatment room.

"Gael has trained well so hopefully will be fit for Saturday, that is good for us.

"The more players we have back and ready to play the better it is. We need all our players we have, both for competition but also to be able to make changes during the game."

Tickets for tomorrow's game will be on sale on the turnstiles, prices for the match can be found here. Unable to get to the game this Saturday? Why not watch the match at Blues Bar.
