Coming home to Ewood

8 November 2012

Henning Berg can't wait to make his return to Ewood Park on Saturday.

The Rovers boss will take his place in the Ewood dugout for the first time since his managerial appointment a week ago.

Rovers have had two away games since then but with Birmingham City visiting Ewood at the weekend it will be first opportunity for the home fans to welcome their former defensive lynchpin.

"I am really looking forward to it," said Berg. "To be back at Ewood for a big game again.

"Like I said when I returned, it was a fantastic feeling to drive through the town, the roads are still the same, the ground is still the same, the pitch is the same.

"There are many of the same people still here and in many ways it feels like coming home.

"I had a fantastic time here as a player, I had great memories, and a good feeling about getting back to Ewood, I want to go on the pitch myself, I had so many good times.

"Hopefully we can start winning games and making sure that we play the type of football that people want to see, at the same time making sure we win the games we need to do to make sure we get back into the Premier League."

Tickets for Henning's homecoming are on open sale with prices from £19 for Adults, Seniors £12 and Team Rovers members for just £1.
