Build on Posh victory

19 November 2012

Berg wants Rovers to go on a run of positive results after Saturday's win.

Boss Henning Berg hopes that Saturday's emphatic victory over Peterborough United can give his side the belief to go on a real promotion challenge.

Rovers moved back into the top six after the 4-1 win at London Road, a hat-trick from Jordan Rhodes following on from Mauro Formica's opening goal.

"It was a fantastic feeling to see the goals go in," said the Rovers boss after the game. "The quality of the finishing and our play was good to see.

"The build-up play for Jordan's header, the pass from Ruben for the third goal. Even the first goal with Adam Henley getting a good cross into the box with Gato picking up the deflected shot to score.

"The performances were good at Birmingham and Huddersfield but we didn't a win, we didn't have enough quality in the last third which we had potential to do.

"So to see it, away from home, is encouraging, hopefully it will give the players even more believe that the way we are playing that they are good enough and that we can really challenge.

"If we can get performances like that then we will win more games than we will draw."

Rovers are back in action next Saturday when Millwall are the visitors to Ewood Park.
