Rovers Reserves cruised to victory away at Kendal on Saturday in their second pre-season game of the new campaign.
Gary Bowyers side beat Bamber Bridge 3-1 in their opening friendly last week and the score-line was identical against their counterparts from Kendal.
Striker Nick Blackman opened the scoring with a smart finish from the edge of the area after robbing the defender of the ball.
Kendal brought the game level, but parity was soon restored when Osayamen Osawe was quickest to react, slotting home a rebound from his initial shot.
Blackman made sure of the win when he latched on to a through ball from John O'Sullivan.
Coach Bowyer said: “It was pleasing to win the game, but it’s all about the lads getting minutes under their belts at this stage.
“We passed the ball well, but we were slightly wasteful with our chances which was disappointing. However, on the whole it was a promising performance.”
