Andy Ramskill has been named Rovers Ladies’ new club coach.
Andy will work predominantly within the first team setup, but will also put on sessions for Rovers’ Reserves.
The 29-year-old, who has experience within the women’s game with Chorley Ladies, has spent the past 10 years working with all age groups at Blackburn Rovers’ Girls Centre of Excellence.
He said: “Getting the chance to coach international players, who have ambitions of helping this club secure Super League status, is a fantastic opportunity for me.
“My aim is to try and bring a good level of discipline and hard-working ethic to the squad, which will hopefully help us gain promotion from the Northern Premier League this season.
“I am working towards my UEFA ‘B’ Licence, which I will hopefully have completed by the start of next year. I actually did my Level 2 with Scott (Rogers) when I was 19 and have been good friends with him since.”
Manager Scott Rogers added: “Andy is a talented young coach, who is keen to progress.
“We work well together and it is good to have another body on board. It is a big promotion for him and one that he has earned.”
