Rovers boss knows the importance of maintaining a healthy haul of points over the Christmas period.
Whilst Henning Berg knows that that the busy festive period can play some part in shaping a side's season, he doesn't believe it is the key time of the year.
Rovers' visit to Bloomfield Road to face Blackpool this Saturday starts a spell of five games in just over a fortnight and whilst Berg understands that it is important to pick up a decent haul of points, it isn't a season decider.
"Most leagues are decided in March and April, but with the play-offs it is a little bit different," said the Rovers boss.
"We just have to make sure that we are in a good position when January comes, that we are still able to push and are able to make up the numbers that we don't have at the moment.
"Certainly we would like to have more points, looking at the games we have had, you look at the performances, you look at the chances, you look at the shots on target, you could easily say that we could have many, many more points, but we haven't.
"We just have to accept it, work on it and look to get better. We know that as soon as we get on a good run, picking up points then we will get higher in the league."
Tickets for Saturday's match at Bloomfield Road have all sold out. Rovers Player will be providing full match commentary of the game from 2.45pm.
