Rovers boss knows that they have to start picking up results to climb the table.
Boss Henning Berg isn't taking too much interest in the current league table but he knows that results have to start improving if they are to achieve the goal of promotion at the end of the season.
A run of just one win in Rovers' last eight outings has seen them slip to 13th in the table, level on points with Saturday's opponents Blackpool, but Berg is concentrating in the first instance on making the team better to produce the required results.
"Obviously we would like to have more points than we have," said the Rovers boss. "We would have liked to have been closer to those teams in the first two spots.
"But we are still in a position where we can still achieve what we want to do this season.
"From my point of view I'm not looking too much at the league table, I'm looking more into how we can improve with the players we have here, offensively and defensively.
"I'm looking at how we can get the best out of the team, how can we play to the best of our capabilities. That is my job, that is what I am looking for mostly.
"Results-wise there is no doubt that we'd like to do better and that is what we are working on, that is what we are trying to improve.
"We are not that far off in terms of what we are actually doing on the pitch but at the same time we aren't that good that we are able to win these tight games."
Tickets for Saturday's match at Bloomfield Road have all sold out. Rovers Player will be providing full match commentary of the game from 2.45pm.
