Cardiff will be a good test for us

6 December 2012

Berg would love a first home win against league leaders City.

Henning Berg is as eager as anyone to secure a first home win as Rovers boss, but against league leaders Cardiff City, he knows it won't be easy.

The Norwegian has overseen a draw and two defeats in his three Ewood games in charge so far but wants three points when the Welsh club visit on Friday night.

Despite recent home results Berg has seen signs of improvement and wants to see more of the same under the lights at Ewood Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

"We are concentrating on improving the team and looking to win more games," said the Rovers boss.

"We are keen to win every game we play and we have come very very close in the games we have been playing.

"We have to look to improve, we have to work hard and make sure that we play together as a team and if we do that then we'll be fine."

Friday night's visitors come to Ewood off the back of a five-game unbeaten run and Berg feels the game will provide a good indication as to where Rovers are up to.

"They have done fantastically well, they are top of the league and it will be a measurement for us to see where we stand as a team," added Berg.

"We are playing the best team in the league but we are at home so we will be doing our best to win the game.

"It will be good to see exactly where we stand , we've played some good teams here already."

Tickets for Friday's 7.45pm match will be on open sale up until kick-off with prices starting from £15 for Adults, £10 for OAPs and £5 for Juniors. Book online today at
