Boss pleased to pick up points in both games so far.
After a draw away at Ipswich Town and a win over Hull City, manager Steve Kean believes it has been a solid start for Rovers in the npower Championship.
Rovers have been workmanlike if not spectacular in the two games played so far, but they have a healthy haul of points to show for it and that is all that matters.
"I think it has been a solid start and two solid performances," said the Scotsman.
"I said after the game at the weekend that I believe that Ipswich will be a tough place to go for teams and they followed that up with a good win in midweek.
"So for us to have played against two good teams with the points that we've got and another home game coming up is good.
"It has been hard to break teams down but it has been a solid start from us."
With eight summer signings, six of which have already made their debuts for the club, Kean knows it will take time for them to adjust to their new surroundings, but the Rovers boss believes the signs are good.
"It will of course take a little bit of time for the new players to gel completely but the signs are there that they have a good understanding of each other," added Kean.
"We've tried to accelerate that by putting certain people together in training a lot so they get to know each other's runs and movement and what type of service each other likes, so the signs are really good."
