Lancashire FA has been successful along with other Counties in gaining a license to deliver a FA Girls Player Development Centre for 2012/2013 season.
The new player development centre (PDC) will work with the grassroots football clubs in the County in order to provide a high quality training programme for talented female players linking into the FA Female player’s pathway which is detailed on the FA’s website at the following link:
This centre is an added part of the FA's re-structured talent development programme alongside FA Girls Centre of Excellences, which has seen up to 30 new FA player development centres added to improve the player development pathway in England.
The Centre will have an ongoing link with the FA Girls Centre of Excellence at Blackburn Rovers to ensure that the players who have been involved in the Girls Centre of Excellence are supported as and when required linked into the player recruitment procedure.
We will be offering young players with potential a high quality programme in line with the FA’s recommended guidelines for talented players as well as providing first-rate qualified coaching to aid their overall development in football via UEFA A and B licence male and female coaches.
