Maintain the winning habit

28 August 2012

Rovers boss keen on cup progress.

Whilst Rovers' sole aim this season is to secure promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt, that doesn't mean Steve Kean be taking the Capital One Cup lightly.

Rovers take on League One side MK Dons in this evening's 2nd round clash, a side managed by former Rovers coach Karl Robinson.

It will be the first match between the two sides and Rovers' first visit to the stadium:MK, and after two wins and a draw from their opening three league games Kean wants to maintain that winning habit.

"It is a lot easier to win games when you are in the habit so lets keep that going," said Kean.

"We expect to pick up points and we expect to win, we have quality in the squad to do that.

"We have been solid in our first three games and now we can look forward to a cup night with confidence. It is important that we continue our winning run."

Kick-off at stadium:MK is at 7.45pm, Rovers Player subscribers will be able to listen to full uninterrupted commentary of the game.
