Boss pleased to claim the win but knows the side can improve.
Steve Kean was rightly delighted as Rovers kept up their unbeaten start to the season with a hard fought win over Leicester City.
Nigel Pearson's Foxes side pushed Rovers all the way but stunning strikes from Nuno Gomes and Morten Gamst Pedersen proved to be the difference as Rovers claimed all three points.
But although the manager was pleased with the win, he knows that the Rovers squad will have to do better than they have shown so far.
"I think it is a massive win," said the Rovers boss on Radio Rovers. "I think there were times when I didn't think we did particularly well.
"But when you've got that quality in the squad that can pick out a special moment and have that required skill then it is always going to help.
"I know we can do better, but you've got to take things into perspective, we were up against the bookies favourites to win the league and I think we've played a lot of good stuff and it is an important three points.
"I said this last week, I don't think we are there yet, we are improving, there's more to come.
"Today we didn't get into a rhythm and we struggled to get in behind them, we played in front of them too much.
"But back-to-back wins takes us where we want to be, it is a good solid start."
Rovers are next in action this Tuesday evening when they travel to take on MK Dons in the 2nd round of the Capital One Cup.
