New boy eager to get started with Rovers.
New signing Colin Kazim-Richards believes Rovers have the squad to get straight back into the Premier League.
The Turkish international became Rovers' eighth signing of a busy summer when he completed a season-long loan move from Galatasaray on Friday and is very much looking forward to the new campaign at his new club.
Having already spent time with his new colleagues out in Holland and back in the UK the striker feels that with the quality that was already in the squad, along with the new signings that have arrived, that a successful season lies ahead.
"It is nice to get it done now, I'm very excited to be here," Kazim-Richards told Rovers Player.
"The intentions of the club are there for all to see, we want to get back into the Premier League so it is great to come down here and I'm very happy."
After leaving the UK for Turkey the 25-year-old enjoyed a six-year spell at two of Turkey's biggest clubs, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, and whilst he admits it was a big decision to make to return to England, it is a project he is looking forward to.
"It was a big decision to make to jump to the Championship, but this is like a Premier League club in the Championship and the signings they have made show that," added the forward.
"I spoke the the manager and after speaking to him and my family it was an easy decision to make.
"It is a great project to be a part of, I've not done things easy in my career and this is another thing that isn't going to be easy but I think we have the players to hopefully get promotion."
Kazim-Richards is expected to make his first public appearance in a Rovers shirt when they take on Cork City at Turner's Cross this Sunday at 2.00pm.
