Irish test next for Rovers

11 August 2012

Rovers' senior squad jet off to Ireland this Saturday in preparation for their final pre-season match of the summer.

Steve Kean's side take on Irish Premier League's Cork City at Turner's Cross on Sunday August 12th.

Latest signing Colin Kazim-Richards is part of the squad to make the journey across the Irish sea, along with fellow new boys Dickson Etuhu, Nuno Gomes, Fabio Nunes, Paulo Jorge and Edinho.

The knee injury sustained by Leon Best in the pre-season outing against AEK Athens obviously sidelines the striker, whilst captain Danny Murphy won't travel as he continues his recovery from a foot injury.

Rovers have won three and lost three of their six pre-season games so far, so they'll be looking to end their preparations with a win ahead of next weekend's npower Championship opener away at Ipswich Town.

Supporters who are making the journey are reminded that the kick-off time has been brought forward to 2.00pm.

Admission prices are €10 for Adults and €5 for Concessions.
