Get off to winning ways

21 August 2012

Bradley Orr knows that it is essential that Rovers get off to a winning home start.

Following on from Saturday's opening day draw away at Ipswich Town, Rovers get their home campaign underway against Hull City at Ewood Park this Wednesday night.

Defender Orr felt that it was a worthy point against Ipswich at the weekend, but it will be meaningless if they don't get three against Steve Bruce's side.

"Hopefully we can go and get off to a winning start at home on Wednesday night and take that into the game at the weekend, that is the aim," said Orr.

"Once you get your first win under your belt it just puts everybody at ease a little bit.

"The start of any season is always a bit cagey, a bit edgy and you don't want to let anyone down. So we've just got to pull together off the back of a decent away result, probably the furthest we will travel this season, so that is out of the way.

"No we move on, try and be nice and positive at home and try for the three points."

Supporters are reminded that home kick-offs this season will predominantly be 7.45pm. Tickets for the game will be on open sale up until kick-off and are priced from £15 for Adults, £10 for Seniors/Students and £5 for Juniors 15 and under.

Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk and collect from the Blackburn End collection point on the day of the game.
