Rovers take on Wolves at Leyland in the third game of the Premier League 2 season
Billy Barr is expected to name a strong squad for the clash, with senior duo Harry Chapman and Sam Hart both likely to play a part this evening
Chapman has found game time hard to come by so far this season, but featured in the Under-23s' draw with Leicester City on Monday, whilst Hart made his return to action at the King Power Stadium by appearing for the first half against The Foxes.
Another who could feature is Dominic Samuel, who missed Monday's game after picking up an allergic reaction. Samuel has had an injury-hit year following a long-term knee issue, but returned for the Under-23s in their pre-season game against Southport.
A setback has seen the forward unavailable since, but following his recovery from that allergic reaction, the striker is back in contention for a place in the squad.
Joe Grayson scored in the 1-1 draw and will be expecting to keep his place in the side, where he's likely to partner Matty Platt in the heart of the backline.
Barr's side improved with Joe Rankin-Costello playing just behind Jack Vale earlier in the week, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the versatile midfielder play that role again tonight.
Rovers will be looking to get their first win on the board having lost to Arsenal on the opening night before the draw on Monday evening.
Rob Edwards’ team picked up a point in their home game against last season’s title-winners Everton last time out, having suffered an opening day defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.
And when previewing the game Barr admitted that he may well rotate his squad.
