Rovers Under-18s produced a near complete display to emphatically brush aside West Bromwich Albion at Brockhall.
Two goals in each half earned the big victory for the hosts, who now rise up to sixth in the table.
Vilius Piliukaitis was the star of the show as he hit a brace and grabbed an assist against the Midlanders.
The Lithuanian got Rovers off to a great start as he found the back of the net just 18 minutes into the contest in tricky conditions.
Jack Vale continued his good form with a goal of his own 10 minutes before half time as Rovers went into the break in control.
The impressive Piliukaitis bagged his second and Rovers’ third of the day seven minutes into the second half before Finlay Thorndike pulled a goal back for the Baggies.
But Rovers responded in outstanding style, with George Wilson producing a spectacular effort to beat goalkeeper Josh Griffiths from range to finish off an excellent performance from Billy Barr’s side.
It’s not five games unbeaten for the Rovers youngsters, who have won four games in that run.
Next up sees a trip to Leicester City on Saturday 10th November, in the Premier League Cup, kick-off 12pm.
