Rovers produced an excellent comeback to take a point away to Middlesbrough at Rockliffe Park, with Ben Pleavin's late goal earning a 2-2 draw against the Teessiders.
The hosts raced into an early lead when Isaac Fletcher bagged the opener after only six minutes in the north-east.
With 10 minutes to go until the half time break, attacker Joe Gibson made it 2-0, to give Rovers a real mountain to climb.
But, just as they did in the recent clash at home to Manchester United, Billy Barr's side showed their fighting spirit and battling qualities.
With three minutes of the first half remaining, Chanka Zimba fed Luke Brennan, who halved the arrears and alter the team talks of both managers.
Rovers probed for an equaliser, and were rewarded for their hard work when substitute Pleavin struck with 10 minutes remaining.
Brennan this time turned provider, assisting the forward for the equaliser, beating Harry Flatters and earning a priceless point for Barr's youngsters on the road.
Rovers are next in action against Stoke City Under-18s on Saturday 23rd March at the Rovers Academy.
