Rovers claimed their first victory of the season in a pulsating match at Ewood Park.
Craig Conway, Marvin Emnes, Ben Marshall and Sam Gallagher all found the back of the net as Rovers came from behind to defeat Rotherham United 4-2.
Danny Ward slipped the visitors in front after just 12 minutes, but Rovers responded in emphatic fashion thanks to a stunning strike from Conway before he teed up Emnes for his second goal this week to ensure the home side lead at the break.
Straight from the restart Ben Marshall's curler put daylight between the two sides, but a second goal from Ward seven minutes from time gave Rotherham hope.
However those nerves were eased when Gallagher capped a fine forward display when he tapped home from close-range in added time to secure a very welcome three points.
In the Lancashire sunshine Rovers were quick out of the traps with Emnes, making his first Rovers start, showing good trickery on the touchline to make space for a shot that flashed just the wrong side of the upright.
But that good work was undone when the Millers grabbed the opening goal from their first attack of the game on 12 minutes.
As Stephen Kelly fed Izzy Brown in the centre, he in turn slipped the ball through for Danny Ward and he fired low under Jason Steele and into the back of the net.
But as they have shown in recent weeks, Rovers' reaction was impressive. Conway, who loves a stunning strike against Rotherham, cut inside with before beating Lee Camp with a wonderful effort to the top corner.
Then on 24 Gallagher got sight of goal, unleashing a left-footed shot that stung the gloves of the Rotherham keeper.
But just five minutes later Rovers completed the turnaround with Conway beating the offside trap to race clear, the Scot showed good awareness to pick out Emnes just inside the box and the Dutchman swept the ball home to make it 2-1.
Steele was called upon to keep out another Ward effort, whilst his opposite number showed great reactions after a Conway cross rebounded goalwards off defender Joe Mattock as the half ended in Rovers' favour.
Looking for a strong start to the second half, Rovers couldn't have asked for more.
Straight from the kick-off Gallagher fed Emnes who switched played to Marshall and the midfielder took advantage of the space inside to curl a wonderful effort into the far corner of the net for his first of the campaign.
With the Rovers front four impressing, all that was left was a goal for Gallagher. On 47 he saw a shot deflect just wide, before Camp saved another effort after he'd been played in by Emnes.
Then on 71 minutes the on-loan forward went even closer when he met a cross from Conway, 21-year-old was denied as his header crashed off the corner of post and bar with Camp beaten.
But despite Rovers enjoying the majority of the forward play, they were made to endure a nervy few moments when the visitors reduced the scoreline to 3-2 on 83 minutes.
Rotherham used the man over on the right to their advantage as Kelly raced into the box and his near-post cross was headed home by Ward for his second of the afternoon.
But roared on by the noisy Ewood faithful, they weren't to be denied with the biggest cheer of the afternoon reserved for the hardworking Gallagher.
After two minutes of five added minutes at the end of the game, Marshall sent a ball down the right for Emnes to chase, the Dutchman had no right to win the ball off Kelvin Wilson, but his pace saw him get the better of the Millers' defender before laying it on a plate for Gallagher to complete his man of the match display with the goal to seal the points.
