Charity Policy

Blackburn Rovers Football Club is fully committed to supporting local charities and community groups in raising vital funds and awareness for causes important to them through the donation of signed official Blackburn Rovers memorabilia and complimentary tickets. Through this policy we are committed to using our brand effectively to support the raising of money and bring greater awareness of the needs of others. We do not provide monetary donations.

In 2017/18 (year ending 30th June 2018) the club helped to raise over £27,000 for local charities, including 216 shirt donations and 197 football donations.

Charity Support

Our main charity is Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust is a charity in its own right that engages with the local community through its programmes and activities and is committed to act as a positive role model to inspire, enhance and change lives under the Blackburn Rovers brand.

In addition to this charity partnership, we nominate three local charities each year who are offered a package of BRFC merchandise and tickets in order to help them with their fundraising efforts throughout the year.

For 2018/19 the club have nominated East Lancs Hospice, Child Action North West and Age UK (Lancashire).

Each nominated charity will work with Blackburn Rovers, to maximise opportunities, and raise awareness/funds, to the benefit of all the parties.

Charities can apply to be one of the Club’s nominated charities by submitting their application on or before 1st March each year to:

Barbara Magee, Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Ewood Park, Blackburn, BB2 4JF.

Personal requests

Requests regarding difficult or tragic personal circumstances will be considered by the charity committee and an appropriate response made on behalf of the Club.
