Rovers added to their goalkeeping ranks with the arrival of Simon Eastwood from Portsmouth in May 2013 on a two-year deal.

Having started out with Huddersfield Town, the stopper enjoyed loan spells at Woking and Bradford City before joining Halifax Town in 2011.

Impressive displays for the Shaymen saw Eastwood earn a move to Portsmouth at the end of that campaign.

Working under Rovers' goalkeeping coach John Keeley at Pompey, the keeper would go on to make 30 appearances for the League One club in his one season on the south coast.

Having made nine appearances in his first year at Ewood Park, Eastwood signed a contract extension until the summer of 2016.

Last season Eastwood was one of the stars in Rovers' run to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
