A product of Rovers' Academy having been with the club since the age of 12, Lowe has been a regular member of the the senior squad since breaking into the first team as a 19-year-old and now has over 130 appearances to his name.
A versatile footballer who is equally at home in midfield or in defence, Lowe's committed displays have not only ensured a place in the Rovers starting eleven but also saw him gain international recognition with England.
In the summer of 2011 Lowe captained England's Under 20s at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Colombia before moving up to be a regular for the England Under 21 team where he made 11 appearances.
The 2013-14 season saw Lowe score his first Rovers goal, a 20-yard thunderbolt that saw him win the Goal of the Season award.
Unfortunately for Lowe a troublesome foot injury sidelined the midfielder for the long spells during the 2014-15 campaign, restricting him to just 14 appearances. So he'll be eager to quickly get back to full fitness and stamp his authority on the first team once more.
