After a successful trial, Raheem joined Rovers from Manchester United in 2010, and although injuries limited his appearances in his first year with the club it was his second season where he has really blossomed.
Originally employed as a left-back, Hanley was a sensation in the centre of midfield during the 2011-12 season and was one of the stand out performers for the Academy as they reached the final of the FA Youth Cup and the Academy League National Final.
A regular for the Reserves, Raheem was rewarded with a senior squad number towards the end of the campaign and signed his first professional contract soon afterwards.
