A product of the Rovers Academy having been with the club since the age of 12, this central midfielder has progressed through from the Academy to the Reserves and is now a regular for the first team.
Lowey made his senior debut in the FA Cup against Queens Park Rangers in January 2011 and his Barclays Premier League debut soon followed when he came on as a first half substitute against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The midfielder ended the season on loan at Oldham Athletic where he would go onto score twice in seven outings for the League One side.
That summer saw Lowe captain England at the FIFA under 20 World Cup in Colombia in the summer of 2011 and went on to make his debut at under 21 level the following October.
Consistent displays in League and Cup at both midfield and right back saw Lowe rewarded with a new contract keeping him at the club until the summer of 2016.
