A product of the Rovers' youth set up, local lad Dunn made his debut for the club as an 18-year-old in September 1998.
He would go onto be a firm fixture in the heart of Rovers' midfield and earn England honours.
A fall out with former manager Graeme Souness saw him leave Rovers and join Birmingham City in the summer of 2003, but after an injury plagued spell in the midlands, Rovers brought the Great Harwood-born player back to the club in 2007.
An attacking midfielder with an eye for the spectacular goal, Dunn ended the 2009-10 season the club's top scorer.
January 2012 saw Dunn sign a new 12 month playing extension which he'll combine with some coaching duties.
