A skilful attack-minded defender, Bruno started his career with his hometown club Marilia, where he spent six seasons at the Sao Paulo state-based football club.
Having won the Brazilian 2nd division title, where he was considered the best right back in the division, Bruno then made a loan move to top Brazilian side Palmeiras, but an agreement couldn't be reached between the two clubs to make the move permanent.
He returned to Marilia for a further three seasons before completing a permanent transfer to Gremio Prudente in 2009.
Having spent the majority of his time at Sao Paulo state based clubs, Bruno decided to further his footballing career with a move to Europe after reaching an agreement with the newly-named Gremio Barueri.
Having accepted an invitation from Rovers to join them on trial for pre-season training in July, Bruno impressed Steve Kean and the coaching staff to be offered a permanent deal and August 2011 saw the full back sign a three-year contract with the football club, with the option of a further year.
January saw the Brazilian full back return to his homeland, signing on loan with Clube Atletico Linense through to the 30th June 2013.
