A right-footed midfielder with a keen eye for goal, Taylor returned to his native north west after a year with Millwall. Putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal in the summer of 2013
He started his professional career at hometown club Oldham Athletic, enjoying a seven-year spell with the Latics, making over 250 appearances and scoring on 33 occasions.
After his contract at Oldham ended, the highly-rated footballer moved to Millwall in 2012, signing a one-year deal. He would go on to play a huge part in the Lions' charge to the FA Cup semi-final.
One of Gary Bowyer's first signings as manager, Taylor has proven to be a popular and versatile member of the Rovers squad. Impressing in the club's run to the quarter-final of the FA Cup in 2015 with three goals in the competition.
In July 2015, the midfielder pledged his immediate future to Rovers by signing a new one-year deal.
