After progressing through the Academy system where he was captain of the under 18s, Dean has gone on to now become a regular member of the Reserve team squad and also to wear the armband for the second string.

A strong defender who is equally good on the ground and in the air, started his career at right back but has become more accomplished at the heart of the defence.

Signed a new one-year deal in April 2008, that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2009.
