A winger who can operate on both flanks but tends to play on the right, an effective dribbler who can use his pace and trickery to beat players in the final third.

Marked his first start for the Reserve side with a goal against Manchester United in April 2007 but injuries prevented the winger from making an impression in the 2007/08 campaign.

Made his senior debut in the Carling Cup fourth round tie against Sunderland in November 2008, and followed that up with an FA Cup appearance against the same opposition in January 2009.

Signed a new deal that sees him contracted with the club until the summer of 2011.

A spell on loan with Gateshead was followed by a six month loan deal with League Two side Rochdale in January 2010
