This Australian youth international burst on the scene at Rovers with the Academy, but sustained a broken leg whilst away on international duty, and only returned to action towards the end of the 05/06 season.

A calm and composed midfielder, good on the ball with an excellent good passing range, Rostyn can operate in central midfield or wide right.

Injuries limited him to just a handful of appearances for the Reserves in 2007/08, but he ended the season on loan with SPL side Gretna where he made 12 appearances.

Signed a new one-year deal in January 2008.
