Zac joined Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee from Non-League side Southport after a successful trial with the club midway through the 2009-10 campaign, signing an 18-month contract with the club.

Able to play on the wing or through the middle where his pace is an asset, Zac spent the second half of the 2010-11 season on  loan at League Two club Morecambe.

Spent a month on loan with former club Southport during the autumn of 2011.
