Rovers' Reserves maintained their unbeaten pre-season with a 2-0 victory over Burscough at Victoria Park.

It was trialist Rodrigo Branco who bagged both goals with a strike in each half.

Rovers took the lead on 26 minutes when a through ball from Alex Marrow sent Branco racing through and he slotted home from the edge of the area.

Just past the hour mark and the lead was doubled with the Brazilian again on the scoresheet. This time Tom Hitchcock and Marrow combined before the final pass saw Branco apply the finishing touch at the back post.
