A trio of Rovers' rising stars have all signed their first professional contracts with the football club.

Defenders Jonathan Bateson and Kris Paterson, along with forward Martin McCubbin have all agreed new one-year deals.

Local lad Bateson made 24 appearances for the Academy and Reserves last season at centre and right back, whilst former Scottish youth international Paterson, who can play at left back or in the centre of defence, featured 29 times for both teams, scoring three goals last season.

McCubbin who can operate on the wing or further forward, made twenty appearances last term, including making his Reserve-team debut in Rovers' 2-1 win over Manchester United. He found the back of the net on six occasions.

These three deals follow on from recent new contracts for Bjorn Bussman, Aaron Doran and Alex Marrow as the club plan for the season ahead.
