After having a trial with the club, Olsson was signed on transfer deadline day in January 2006 from Swedish side Högaborgs BK,
A left-back of high promise who is also able to play further forward, Olsson made his senior bow in Rovers' 2-0 UEFA Cup win over MyPa at the end of August 2007 and subsequently made two Premier League substitute appearances that season.
Martin has represented Sweden at all levels up to and including their under 21s.
Signed a new four-year deal with Rovers in May 2008 that will see him contracted to the club until the summer of 2012.
