Biography:
Blackburn Rovers beat off a host of other clubs from around Europe to secure the services of this highly rated South American star.
Roque started his footballing education with his local Paraguayan side Olimpia de Asuncion where he spent nine years on their books before securing a move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in 1999 spending seven seasons with the German side until he moved to Ewood Park in July 2007 on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 6' 2" star is strong on the ground and powerful in the air and will be a valuable asset to Mark Hughes' squad particularly with his vast experience on the European and World stage.
