Biography:
Former manager Mark Hughes swooped to sign the former England under 21 defender from Liverpool during the January 2007 transfer window.
A tough tackling defender who also loves to go on forward attacking runs, Stephen quickly established himself as a firm favourite amongst the fans.
Impressive displays throughout the 2007/08 saw Warnock sign a new four year deal keeping with the club until the summer of 2012, and then earn a senior call-up for England where he picked up his first cap as a substitute in England's friendly 3-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago in June 2008.
