The giant defender may have only been with the club a little over a month but already he's become a big hit with the fans and his team-mates, continuing our popular feature, Christopher Samba answers your questions...

A lot of Rovers fans already see you as a hero in the few games that you have played. How does that make you feel?
James Crook, Chorley

It helps for me to integrate with the team. When you hear that the fans are behind you, it gives you more strength to win for the team, so it's a good thing.

Christopher SambaAs you're only 22, do you see Rovers as the right club to help launch your career?
Sam Carr, Morecambe

I definitely think that I've made the right choice in coming here. It's a club to get stronger in your game. It's also a club with plenty of ambition, so I think it's the perfect club for me.

Hi Chris, what were the main reasons behind your move to Rovers?
Tim Lu, Thailand

The main reason was that I wanted to play! In Berlin, they have their own way that you only play if you have made a name for yourself. If you don't have a name, you have difficulty to begin. So if you are too young, they would say that you don't have enough experience, but if you don't play, you will never get any experience. So I've come here because I think my quality will adapt to the league and so far so good.

What did it feel like to break into the first team almost immediately?
Danny Glover, Baxenden

I was quite surprised, because I think the initial plan was to prepare me for next season. But the manager feels that I'm already ready to play and for me it's important to know that the manager trusts me and wants me to play. So it's been a great help from the manager because with trust you can do anything.

You seem to have settled very quickly at Rovers - has it helped that players from a similar background such as Shabani Nonda, Aaron Mokoena and Benni McCarthy are also here?
Michael Haydock, Barnoldswick

Having the likes of Stephane Henchoz and Shabani Nonda here has helped because they speak French, but I also speak good English so I've not had any problems settling in. All the team have spoken to me and helped me feel welcome, which has helped with my integration. So I'm thankful for the whole team and not just a few of the players.

You're a big guy at over 6 foot 5! Have you ever come up against a taller opponent?
Marcus Raymond, Chorley

On Sunday it might have been Kanu, because I think he is taller than me, but I was injured at the time, so at this moment ? no! (Peter) Crouch is also bigger than me and I hope to play him soon.

Christopher SambaHi Chris, how are you finding the pace of the English Premier League compared to the German Bundesliga?
Kev Alderdice, Ipswich Queensland (Australia)

I think the German league is more tactical and a bit slower. Here in England, it is a game of more straightforward attacking. It's much faster and much stronger, so there's a big difference.

Hi Chris, I recently travelled to Berlin and saw the amazing Olympic Stadium. I was just wondering how did you feel walking out in front of so many people in such a remarkable stadium?
Matt Nattrass, Darwen

I think it's a very good stadium, but the problem we have is that the stadium is maybe too big because we didn't have many full attendances there. I have always preferred the English stadia because they are close to the fans and generate a great atmosphere.

When you came to Ewood, what were your targets for this season and the future?
Matthew Walford, Preston

I try not to make targets because it makes you think about too many things. It's best just to take things game by game and always concentrate to do your best in every training session and in every match.

Hello Chris, how are you finding life in England?
Thomas Lever, London

The food is not the best! But I think living here is nice. I especially like the bigger cities in the area, such as Liverpool and Manchester.

Hi Chris, in your career to date, have you scored many goals from corners and do you think you'll be the right man to break our scoring duck from corners? I would like to see someone of your height really attacking Morten's set-pieces.
Andrew Currie, Haydon Bridge

I hope so. We are working on it in training and I soon hope to score my first goal for the club.

Who was your football hero growing up and who has been the biggest influence in your career so far?
Lee Megson, Ewood

Christopher SambaI didn't really have any whilst growing up, but I've always been a big fan and admire the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Lilian Thuram and Patrick Vieira. The biggest influence in my career has been my own will. A lot of people have believed in me, but I couldn't single anybody out who ha really pushed me.

Hi Chris, who are the best players you have played with and against in your career so far?
Neil Tapping, Blackburn

Playing with would have to Yildiray Bastürk for Hertha Berlin. And against I cannot say yet because I haven't played enough. Thierry Henry, in the fifth round tie, although I don't think he had his best game against us, is probably the biggest name I have played against.

Who do you get on best with in the team?
Sam Barr, France

I get on well with Shabani Nonda and Stphane Henchoz because we can spek the same language, but I also get on very well with Aaron Mokoena, Benni McCarthy, Bruno Berner and all the players.

What are your ambitions on a personal level and with the team over the coming years?
Chris Cole, Leeds

I would love to play Champions League football with Rovers and to win some silverware.
