Hi Chris. Who are your best friends in the club and what do you do in your spare time? (Espen Langedal, Naustdal, Norway)
I don't really have a best friend. I spend a lot of time with the French boys, because of the language and because we have a lot of similar interests. But I am good friends with everyone. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family. I also like to cook, play video games and watch movies.
Hi Chris, I just wonder how much do the fans mean to you? Every time I've been to Ewood, you have spent a lot of time after the game talking to the fans. That is something I really appreciate and that makes you my favourite player. (Eirik Aase, Norway)
Imagine you are going to a stadium and there are no fans! The fans are everything. Without them you are nobody. We know we have to give them time and recognition as well. They are very important. Without the fans, it wouldn't be the same. In a bad moment, they can give you power and encourage you in hard times. After all, they are the 12th man and we can't forget about them.
Chris, fantastic to see you as stand in captain! Since you have been at Blackburn, what has been the most memorable game you have played in? (Anthony Capps, Preston)
I think the win at Tottenham in my first season at the club when I scored in the last minute. It's a special moment every time you score the winner, especially in a game when you are not favourites to win. Afterwards, we had a big celebration and a big party, so I was really happy to score that day.
Hi Chris, as a tall central defender, do you feel that you get decisions given against you if the referee is in doubt because of your height? (Chris Talbot, Blackburn)
That's a question I'm often asked. It is true that when you are big and strong and someone smaller than you pulls your shirt, you don't always get the decision. But a foul is a foul. Physical players don't always get decisions in their favour and we know that, but we have to get on with it.
Are you still driving your black Rolls Royce and what other cars have you got? (Dina Fielding, Blackburn)
Yes I do sometimes. It was a dream of mine when I was a young kid to have this car that you see in the movies. But it's not really something I need anymore, it's not a necessity.
Samba, would you prefer to defend against a strong and powerful striker such as Didier Drogba or a quick and skilful striker such as Fernando Torres? (Adam Waite, Leamington Spa)
That's not an easy question. Both are difficult I think. But big guys like Drogba, who are strong and powerful, are probably a little bit easier than quick and skilful ones.
Hi Chris. Whilst Ryan Nelsen has been injured you've been playing the role of captain, how have you found it and would you like to wear the armband permanently at some stage in your career? (Sarah Fawcett, Accrington)
The armband is just a symbol. If you're a leader you don't really need an armband to do it. The main difference is that you are able to speak to the referee and you give more presence on the field. If you're a leader, you're a leader. But yes I have enjoyed it and later in my career I hope I can be a permanent captain.
Hi Chris. Did you always want to be a footballer when you were a small boy and what do you think you would be if you weren't a footballer? (Yunus Kazi, Blackburn)
I always wanted to be a footballer, every since I started playing football at the age of five. I wasn't a bad student, but it's not a question I ask myself, because my choice was already made and the opportunity was already there. I was clear and sure that I wanted to be a footballer.
Samba, what is the best goal you have scored for Rovers? (Elijah Shaw, Oswaldtwistle)
I would say two. My first goal against West Ham, which was my first goal in the Premier League, was really special. It also gave us a 1-0 lead at the time. But my favourite goal is the winner at Tottenham.
Who was your footballing hero when you were growing up? (Craig Bush, New Zealand)
Maradona was always a player I admired as a young boy. Growing up later, I was a big fan of Patrick Vieira when he was at Arsenal, and also Zinedine Zidane.
I believe you are a very talented table-tennis player. What other sports are you good at? (Allistair Star, Brisbane)
I'm quite good at a lot of sports. I'm not a bad basketball player and I'm not a bad tennis player. I spend a lot of time playing Gael Givet at tennis. I like playing against him and I like beating him! I played a bit of everything when I was younger, principally tennis, table-tennis and basketball other then football.
