Who was your idol when you were growing up? (Eve Summersgill, Mellor)
I used to watch a lot of Rivaldo for Barcelona when I was younger, so I'd probably say him. I liked his style of play.

Which football team did you support when you were younger? (Eve Summersgill, Mellor)
Barcelona and Manchester United were the two teams they showed the most on TV back in Sweden. I remember watching Ryan Giggs and Rivaldo a lot when I was growing up. In terms of local teams I supported, I would have to say Hogaborgs, who I played for. Henrik Larsson also started his career with them.

After putting in an absolutely fantastic performance in that left midfield role against Aston Villa, would you like to make that your permanent position in the team? (Matty Whawell, Gorleston-on-Sea)
I think I did okay. I worked as hard as I could and it was nice to get a goal as well. If the manager asks me to play there again then I will be more than happy to. I think I've probably got more chance of getting games on the left wing than at left back.

Hello Martin, I have been wondering why it has taken so long for yourself to settle into a position at Blackburn? I was at Villa Park last Wednesday and was very impressed with your performance. Do you think that if we play that system again against Wigan and Hull we should get six points? (Paul Higginson, Bristol)
My form was probably the main reason behind me not settling into a position, because it wasn't good enough before. But I've been working hard in training to get my confidence up, as well as eating and sleeping right. I think if we can play positive, attacking football, then hopefully we can get more points from these next two games at home, because that's where we are strong.

Great overhead kick Martin! Seeing as you came up through our Academy, who is your tip to be the next to break through to the first team? (Richard Horrocks,
Brisbane, Australia)

There's many good young players coming through the system. I believe there's another Swedish lad, who's only 15, but has been scoring a lot of goals. And then from the current Academy team, I think Jason Banton and Michael Potts are both very good players. Phil Jones has also done extremely well this season.

Hello Martin, can I firstly just say well done on the last couple of games, you've been amazing. My question is, what do you love the most about Blackburn Rovers? (Rachel Threlfall)
It's only a small club, where everyone knows each other, so it's like a little family. Everyone gets along. It's always fun to come into training and hear all the banter between the players. I like the positiveness around the place.

Hi. Are you are fan of ice hockey in addition to football? If so, how well do you think Sweden will do in the upcoming winter Olympics? (Neil Younger, Calgary, Canada)
I don't watch ice-hockey unfortunately, but we've got a good Swedish national team and I hope they'll go far.

Hey Martin, if another Scandinavian player could play for Blackburn who should it be and why? (Don't answer Zlatan Ibrahimovic!) And will you ever consider playing in Norway in the future? (Kenneth Haneboe, Vikersund, Norway)
I would like to see either my twin brother Marcus here or a good friend of mine from the Swedish Under-21s, Guillermo Molins, a right winger. If I had to go for an experienced player, then I'd choose Henrik Larsson. I haven't really thought much about playing in Norway to be honest. I'm very happy here in the Premier League.

Hi Martin. How did it feel to score such a brilliant goal at Aston Villa and still lose out on a place in the final? (George Brignall)
It was a nice goal. I surprised myself in fact! I wanted to celebrate, but with the score as it was, I couldn't. I was happy inside though and looking back afterwards I was pleased with myself. It was nice to score, because it had been a while for Blackburn.

Was your goal against Aston Villa the best goal you've scored in a competitive match? (Mark Sibson, Preston)
Yeah, it was probably my best one. I did score one for my national team, at Under-18 level I think, when I dribbled past four players and then put it in, but the Villa goal is my favourite.

Who is you favourite ever Premier League player? (Eve Summersgill, Mellor)
I would say either Ryan Giggs or Robert Pires.
