When I was growing up there were many players who I admired. It is a very difficult question, but my main ones probably were Claude Makele, Jay Jay Ococha and Ronaldinho. Don't ask me to pick one!


Steven, you have been brilliant since your arrival. I was at the Villa game in September and you were the man-of-the-match in my book, reminding me of Patrick Vieira. Do you think that you can develop into a class midfielder like Vieira over the next few seasons? Paul Malone, Ireland

Thanks you for your kind words. I will try very hard. Vieira is a top, top player and to be compared to him is flattering. He is a big player, much bigger than me and if I can reach anything like his standard then that would be fantastic.


Which current Blackburn player has impressed you the most since you joined the club? Christopher Ward, Dalton In Furness

We have a very good squad here but if I was to pick one then it would be Chris Samba. He is so strong and I love it when he gets on the ball and moves forward so skilfully.

Hello Steven, you have seemed to settle in straight away at Blackburn Rovers. Normally, a young foreign player would need time to bed down before they got any kind of form. What has helped you settle in at Blackburn Rovers? Jonathan Shutt, Blackburn

I must say that having other French-speaking players in the squad has helped very much. It means that I can understand what is being said and what is expected of me. My English is getting better all the time, but it is still not, how do you say, perfect? The club is so friendly and that is good too.

This is an easy question for me - thank-you! I think you should head for Paris, I love it there, especially the shopping on the Champs-Elysees. It is expensive, but very good. When I was in France I lived about an hour from Paris and I used to try to get in there as much as possible.

There is someone staying with me most of the time. Sometimes it is my father (Fidele), sometimes my mother (Sylvie), sometimes my sister (Karen) or sometimes my friends (many of them!) I am in Altrincham, but rarely on my own.

Everyone has been exciting for different reasons, but my favourite has got to be Old Trafford. What a venue!

Very nice (but if prefer French!). I have one or two restaurants that I like to go to and my favourite food is probably pasta. I must say that the food we get at the training ground is very good also.
