FERGUSON ASKS FOR MOVE

Posted on: Tue 18 Jan 2005

Barry Ferguson

ROVERS have received an official transfer request from skipper Barry Ferguson.

"I can confirm that Barry has put in a transfer request and the situation will now be considered by the Board," said Rovers chief executive John Williams.

Ferguson is currently under treatment for an injury which forced him to miss Saturday's Premier League win at Portsmouth and will also rule him out of tomorrow night's FA Cup third round replay with Cardiff City at Ewood Park.
