Jonathan Spector battles with Paul Dickov when the two sides met back in August

JONATHAN Spector's arrival at Ewood Park is to be delayed.

Injury problems at Manchester United mean that the young defender will not join the Rovers squad this coming week as initially planned.

Manager Mark Hughes said: "I have spoken with Sir Alex and, in view of United's concerns over a couple of injuries, Jonathan is to stay there for a little longer. He will, however, be joining us sometime in the near future."
