Danns: A Rover no more

MIDFIELDER Neil Danns has agreed to join Colchester United.

The 22 year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at Layer Road earlier this season where he made quite an impression with the supporters.

The chirpy Scouser, who is a product of Rovers successful Academy teams has been a regular with the Reserves and consistently captained them in recent times.

Neil made his full Rovers debut in the UEFA Cup against CSKA Sofia in September 2002 and earned a first Premiership start against Middlesbrough on New Year's Day 2003. But his first team chances have been restricted.

Apart from his time with Colchester, he has also enjoyed loan spells at Blackpool and Hartlepool United.
