SHORT SHOCK

Posted on: Sun 19 Dec 2004

Craig Short

CRAIG Short is likely to be spending the festive period on the sidelines after picking up an injury in the 0-0 draw against Everton.

The veteran defender limped off the field of play after just twenty minutes replaced by Nils-Eric Johansson.

"He just overstretched for a high ball, and he's got a slight strain in the hamstring," said his manager Mark Hughes

"We hope it won't be too long, but with hamstrings it is usually a minimum of two weeks."
