ROVERS have announced their intention to stage a testimonial match on behalf of Tony Parkes in recognition of his service to the club.

Chief executive John Williams explained: "I have met with Tony and organising a testimonial game is something we very much want to do, although the nature and timing of it is still to be finalised. I am delighted that Tony has accepted the opportunity to stage this match."
