ROVERS today set about the task of replacing Rob Kelly, who has accepted a managerial post with Leicester City.

Kelly, a former Foxes player, has agreed to join the new management team under Craig Levein at the Walker's Stadium.

He first joined Rovers eight years ago, working alongside Bobby Downes and was instrumental in establishing and developing the club's Academy.

Chief Executive John Williams said: "We are very sorry to see Rob leave, he has been a first class member of the football staff.

"He played a key role at the Academy and, more recently, when he stepped up to become reserve team coach, helping the transition between Academy and senior football.

"Finding Rob's replacement is very high amongst our priorities and we hope to make an appointment soon."
