Reid has broke his fifth metatarsal |
ROVERS midfielder Steven Reid faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his foot.
Reid picked up the injury in the pre-season match at Deepdale against Preston North End at the end of July.
Graeme Souness revealed yesterday that the Republic of Ireland international will be out for up to ten weeks following an operation.
"You've got to feel sorrry for him, his career has not got going for us," said Souness.
"He is a player who needs confidence and so he needs to be picked up right now.
"He's had his operation today and he will be out for ten weeks."
