MOVE FOR MOORE

Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004

Craig Moore - Rangers
Rovers have permission to talk to Moore

ROVERS have today confirmed their interest in Glasgow Rangers defender Craig Moore - but national reports claiming the player has already signed for the club are wide of the mark.

Rovers' chief executive John Williams said: "We have spoken to Rangers who have given us permission to speak to the player and we'll see how those talks progress this week."

Moore, an Australian international, has enjoyed two spells at the Scottish giants with a year at Crystal Palace sandwiched in between.

Meanwhile, Rovers officials are awaiting news on Steven Reid's latest injury setback.

The Irish international picked up a foot injury during Rovers' 1-0 win over Preston North End and is expected to face another lengthy lay-off.
