BAGGIO IN TALKS

Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004

Baggio is back in Italy

GRAEME Souness has confirmed that Dino Baggio is on the verge of returning to Italy.

The Rovers' boss said: "Dino has agreed in principle to move back to Italy and join Ancona. He is meeting with their people over the weekend."

The experienced international midfielder joined Rovers on a season-long loan from Lazio, but has not been able to command a regular first-team place.

Fellow Italian Ciccio Grabbi recently left Rovers to join Ancona, who are currently battling to avoid relegation from Serie A after being promoted this season.

Meanwhile, Martin Andresen, who has spent the last few days training at Brockhall, has returned to Norway. Graeme Souness said: "There is no movement on this, Martin has gone home, it may be something we look at in the future."
